Dale McDowell and the Clint Bowyer Racing team jumped back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail this past weekend (March 6-7) in a pair of races in Tennessee and South Carolina. On Saturday night at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, Dale ran third in his competitive heat race to earn the ninth starting spot in the $10,000 to win 'Spring Thaw' main event. Dale was able to maintain his position throughout the 60-lap A-Main at "The Gap" and brought home a solid ninth place finish.

The doubleheader weekend wrapped up on Sunday afternoon at the historic Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina with another $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show. After running second in heat race action, Dale rolled off from the outside of the third row in the 50-lap feature event. The Chickamauga, Georgia native stormed to the lead on lap eleven and paced the stout field on two separate occasions for a total of twenty-six circuits. He appeared to be en route to his first victory of 2010, but defending series champion Scott Bloomquist passed McDowell on the final lap and Dale was forced to settle for a strong runner-up performance.

39TH ANNUAL DIRTCAR NATIONALS RESULTS
February 8-13, 2010

February 13, 2010 --- Dale McDowell wrapped up his version of "Speedweeks 2010" tonight with the 'Florida DIRTcar Nationals' finale at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned a $10,000 to win show tonight at VSP. Dale timed in eighteenth quickest in WOOLMS qualifying and later finished second in his stout heat race. After starting the 50-lap main event from the eleventh position, Dale raced hard to a solid tenth place performance.

February 12, 2010 --- Night five of the 'Florida DIRTcar Nationals' scheduled for tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park was unfortunately rained-out. "Speedweeks 2010" will wrap up on Saturday night, February 13 at Volusia with a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series show.

February 11, 2010 --- The #17m team entered the first World of Outlaws Late Model Series show of 2010 tonight at Volusia. Dale McDowell timed in seventeenth fastest in WOOLMS qualifying and later won his competitive heat race. After starting from the pole position in the $10,000 to win feature event, Dale spun in turns one and two on the first circuit and was relegated to the tail end of the field. During the course of fifty green flag racing laps around VSP, Dale worked his way back up to finish sixth in the final rundown.

February 10, 2010 --- Dale McDowell had his best effort of "Speedweeks 2010" tonight in round three of the 'Florida DIRTcar Nationals' at Volusia! After laying down the fastest lap in his group during UMP qualifying, Dale won his heat race to earn the fifth starting spot for the $7,000 to win main event. During the course of the 30-lap affair, Dale blasted his way to a strong runner-up performance behind winner Shannon Babb.

February 9, 2010 --- Round two of the 'Florida DIRTcar Nationals' was cancelled today at the Volusia Speedway Park due to inclement weather. The racing action is scheduled to heat back up at the Daytona Beach area venue on Wednesday, February 10 with a $7,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series event.

February 8, 2010 --- The #17m team continued their "Speedweeks 2010" journey tonight at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida! Dale McDowell timed in eighth fastest in his group during UMP qualifying and later finished fifth in his competitive heat race. Following a second place run in his B-Main, Dale worked his way past eleven cars in the $7,000 to win main event en route to an eleventh place performance.

34TH ANNUAL WINTERNATIONALS RESULTS
February 1-6, 2010

February 6, 2010 --- Due to the rain-out yesterday at the East Bay Raceway Park, a day/night doubleheader took place today at the 1/3-mile Tampa area venue. Dale McDowell used a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series provisional to gain access into the $10,000 to win afternoon feature and finished twenty-first in the 50-lapper. The Chickamauga, Georgia native then unfortunately missed out on transferring into the $12,000 to win 'Winternationals' finale.

February 5, 2010 --- Round five of the 'Winternationals' scheduled for tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida has been postponed due to rain until Saturday afternoon, February 6. The $10,000 to win event will precede the $12,000 to win 'Winternationals' finale, which is scheduled for Saturday evening.

February 4, 2010 --- Night four of the 'Winternationals' took place tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Dale McDowell finally broke through and advanced into the 40-lap feature event after running fourth in his heat race and second in his B-Main. After starting twenty-second on the grid in the A-Main, Dale brought his Warrior chassis home in the seventeenth finishing position.

February 3, 2010 --- Dale McDowell and the #17m team experienced their third straight night of disappointment tonight at the East Bay Raceway Park. Dale timed in nineteenth fastest during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series group qualifying, but later went up in smoke during his heat race. Therefore, he was unable to make the starting grid for the $5,000 to win main event.

February 2, 2010 --- The second night of the 'Winternationals' at East Bay brought more bad luck to the #17m team. Dale McDowell timed in ninth fastest in his group during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying, but once again suffered an untimely flat tire during heat race action. For the second straight night, the flat tire prevented Dale from advancing into the $5,000 to win A-Main.

February 1, 2010 --- The 2010 campaign opened up tonight for the Clint Bowyer Racing team at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. Dale McDowell timed in seventh fastest in his group during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying, but later suffered a flat right front tire during heat race action. Unfortunately, Dale was not able to rebound from his heat race misfortune and missed out on the $5,000 to win feature event.
