Fourth in SAS Stop at Talladega Short Track

to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on April 29-30 for a
doubleheader weekend at the "Hornets Nest," which accompanied
NASCAR's visit at the nearby Talladega Superspeedway. Following a rain-out
of the $2,000 to win weekend opener on Friday night, the Southern All
Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) presided over a $4,000 to win shootout
on Saturday evening. Dale laid down the second quickest lap in Group
A during qualifying, which locked him into the inside of the second
row for the start of the 40-lap main event. The Chickamauga, Georgia
standout then ran as high as third during the race before slipping back
to fourth at the checkers behind only race winner Jason Hiett, Riley

17, 2016) The #17m team was in the pit area over the April
15-16 weekend at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, as the
Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals tour sanctioned the annual running
of the 'Spring Thaw.' On Friday night in the $4,000 to win opener, Dale
McDowell timed in fifth quickest in Group B during qualifying prior
to taking the victory in his heat race. After starting the 40-lap headliner
from the outside of the third row, Dale scooted past four competitors
on his way to a stellar runner-up effort behind only victor Mike Marlar!
At "The Gap" on Saturday evening, a $10,000
top prize was on the line in the weekend finale. Dale clicked off the
quickest lap in Group B during qualifying and later took the win in
heat race action. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace then rolled off from
the outside of the front row in the 60-lap main event and held the point
for the first 23 circuits. At the checkers, Dale had slipped back to
third to finish behind only winner Chris Madden and runner-up Mike Marlar.

celebrating in World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series victory
lane on Friday evening, April 8 at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel,
Tennessee! Dale clicked off the second quickest time in Group A during
the qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. After
drawing the pole position prior to the start of the 50-lap main event,
Dale led each and every circuit of the headliner en route to capturing
the $10,000 payday. The Chickamauga, Georgia standout beat Darrell Lanigan,

3, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) entered a pair of Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series shootouts on April 1-2 in the states of Georgia
and Alabama. On Friday night in front of a jammed-packed crowd at Boyd's
Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia, Dale McDowell clicked off the second
fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session prior to picking
up the win in his heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win main
event from the outside of the second row, Dale ran amongst the leaders
before slipping back to finish sixth in the 50-lapper behind only winner
Chris Madden, Randy Weaver, Jared Landers, Jonathan Davenport, and Scott

13, 2016) The #17m TDR team returned to racing action over
the March 11-12 weekend in the 'Tennessee Tipoff' at Smoky Mountain
Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee. A strong 27 car field assembled at
the historic 1/2-mile facility to vie for the $15,000 winner's check
in the Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series opener. On Friday night,
Dale McDowell knocked down the sixth fastest lap in Group A during time
trials prior to running second in his loaded heat race. After starting
Saturday's 75-lap headliner from the inside of the fourth row, Dale
vaulted up inside of the top five and eventually placed fifth in the

Makes First Ever Visit to Cochran Motor Speedway
29, 2016) Dale McDowell and the #17m TDR team rolled into Cochran
Motor Speedway in Cochran, Georgia on February 27-28 for a pair of $5,000
to win Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) shootouts. On Saturday,
Dale qualified second quickest in his group during time trials and later
started the 50-lapper from the inside of the second row. The Chickamauga,
Georgia star then moved up to second during the course of the A-Main
to finish an impressive runner-up behind only victor Brandon Overton
in his first-ever event at Cochran. In Sunday's weekend finale, Dale
once again posted the second fastest time in his group and was running
second with only two circuits remaining in the 50-lap headliner before
a flat right rear tire relegated "MacDaddy" to a disappointing

20, 2016) Tonight marked the finale of both the 'DIRTcar Nationals'
and "Speedweeks 2016" for the #17m team, as another $10,000
windfall was on the line with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model
Series at Volusia (FL) Speedway Park. Dale McDowell started off his
evening by laying down the fourteenth quickest lap in Group B during
the time trial session before running third in his loaded heat race.
The popular driver known as the "MacDaddy" then started the
50-lap finale from the inside of the ninth row and later wound up sixteenth
in the final rundown after bolting on harder tires.

on yesterday's 'DIRTcar Nationals' opener at Volusia Speedway Park in
Barberville, Florida, Dale McDowell returned to dirt-slinging action
tonight in the second meet of the week at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant.
Dale timed in fourth fastest in his group during UMP DIRTcar Series
qualifying prior to running second in heat race action. After rolling
off from the outside of the fifth row in the $7,000 to win main event,
Dale wound up suffering a flat right rear tire on the 25th circuit of
the 30-lapper and was placed eighteenth in the final finishing order.
Leads Early in Cabin Fever 40; Settles for Runner-Up!
31, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) and driver Dale McDowell
lifted the lid to their 2016 campaign on Saturday afternoon, January
30 during the unsanctioned 'Cabin Fever 40' at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold,
Georgia. Dale clicked off the fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying
session and later scored the victory during the dash to earn the pole
position for the $3,500 to win headliner. After pacing the field for
the first six circuits, "MacDaddy" settled into the second
spot and ran there during the remainder of the 40-lap affair to bag
a runner-up performance in his season opener behind only victor Donald
