and Shane McDowell Racing Form Partnership for '17 Season!
11, 2017) Kinzer Motorsports and Shane McDowell Racing (SMR)
have jointly announced today that they have formed a partnership heading
into the 2017 racing season. Essentially, the two Super Late Model teams
will share resources, sponsorship, and crew members for drivers Brandon
Kinzer and Dale McDowell. Kinzer Motorsports will remain located in
Allen, Kentucky for the time being, while the newly-formed Shane McDowell
Racing (SMR) team will be headquartered at Richard Childress Racing
in Welcome, North Carolina.
"I am thrilled with this alliance that we have formed with Shane
McDowell Racing and it should be fruitful for all parties," quoted
Brandon Kinzer recently. "I have been friends with Dale and Shane
for a long time and I really admire how they handle themselves both
on and off the racetrack. With different businesses and family obligations
taking up the bulk of my time, I just don't have the time to race like
I need to and like you have to these days to keep up with everything
that is going on with these cars. Aligning ourselves with Dale and Shane
will not only help their program with added resources, but it will strengthen
Kinzer Motorsports as well being in the same equipment and having their
expertise and experience at our disposal." |
Season Dates Released for Shane McDowell Racing!
5, 2017) The brand-new Shane McDowell Racing (SMR) team and
driver Dale McDowell released a few early season race dates today right
here at www.DaleMcDowell.com. Dale will lift the lid to his 2017 campaign
on Saturday, January 28 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia in the
annual running of the 'Cabin Fever 40,' which pays $3,500 to the winner.
The #17m team will then trek south to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania,
Georgia and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida for "Speedweeks"

4, 2016) Dale McDowell and the #17m team closed out their
version of the 2016 racing season on Saturday, December 3 at Modoc Raceway
in Modoc, South Carolina. The unsanctioned 'Bad Boy Off Road 50' boasted
a $7,000 winner's check. Dale was scheduled to start the 50-lap headliner
from the outside of the fifth row, but inclement weather wound up postponing

Masters 411 for Seventh Win of 2016 Season!
27, 2016) The #17m team stood tall in victory lane for the
seventh time in 2016 on Saturday night, November 26 at 411 Motor Speedway
in Seymour, Tennessee! Dale McDowell clicked off the fastest lap in
Group A during Super Late Model qualifying, which locked him into the
pole position for the 'Leftover' feature event. Dale then grabbed the
point at the drop of the green flag in the 50-lapper and led each and
every circuit of the unsanctioned headliner. At the checkers, Dale was
celebrating the $5,000 triumph over Jimmy Owens, Donald McIntosh, Jackie

Grabs Top Five in $10k Gobbler at Boyd's Speedway
20, 2016) Dale McDowell and the #17m team traveled to Boyd's
Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on November 18-19 for the 28th Annual
'Gobbler,' which was sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series.
Dale laid down the seventh quickest time in Group B during qualifying
on Friday night and later ran second in his loaded heat race. After
starting Saturday's $10,000 to win feature event from the outside of
the third row, Dale quickly moved up to the fourth position in the 60-lapper
and wound up finishing right there behind only victor Brandon Overton,

Blitzes to Runner-Up in National 100 Weekend Opener!
7, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) rolled into the historic
East Alabama Motor Speedway on November 4-6 for the 42nd edition of
the 'National 100.' For the first time, three complete shows were held
at the Phenix City, Alabama venue and things kicked off with a pair
of $5,000 to win preliminary programs. On Friday night, Dale McDowell
timed in ninth quickest in Group B during qualifying, ran third in his
B-Main, and later blitzed past sixteen competitors during the 42-lap
feature en route to a stellar runner-up performance behind only victor
Tim McCreadie. At EAMS on Saturday evening, Dale knocked down the fourth
fastest lap in Group A during time trials to automatically lock himself
into the 42-lapper where he eventually claimed a ninth place effort.
After accumulating the second most points during preliminary
action, Dale started Sunday's 100-lap headliner from the outside of
the front row. The Chickamauga, Georgia star had his sights set firmly
on the whopping $20,000 payday, but slipped several spots during the
race and eventually wound up ninth in the final finishing order. Complete

Earns Top Tens in Both World Finals Shows at Charlotte!
30, 2016) Next up on the racing schedule for the Team Dillon
Racing (TDR) team was the annual 'World of Outlaws World Finals' at
the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina on October
27-29. The three-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series weekend
started on Thursday evening with two rounds of qualifying, which determined
the heat race lineups for the final two series races of the 2016 season.
Dale McDowell timed in second quickest in Group B for both Friday and
Saturday night's shootouts, which placed him on the pole position in
his heat race on each occasion.
When the stakes were raised on Friday, Dale won his heat
race in preliminary action and later drew the sixth starting spot in
the $12,000 to win main event. The Chickamauga, Georgia standout hung
around towards the front of the stellar field in the 50-lapper before
ultimately slipping back to eighth at the checkers. In Saturday's $12,000
to win 'World of Outlaws World Finals' finale, Dale once again scored
the victory in his heat race prior to winding up eighth in the final

16, 2016) The #17m TDR team ventured to Portsmouth Raceway
Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 14-15 for the 36th Annual 'Dirt
Track World Championship,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series and attracted 80 competitors to vie for the whopping
$100,000 winner's share. The unique format for the crown jewel spectacular
started with two sets of heat races on Friday evening. Dale McDowell
impressively won both of his heat races in preliminary action and later
started from the pole position in Saturday's 100-lap DTWC. The Chickamauga,
Georgia star then hung around the front of the talented field early
in the distance before steering woes caused him to ultimately retire

Wins Another Dixie Shootout for $12,000 at Dixie Speedway!
3, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) made the trip to the Peach
State with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on October 1-2 for a
pair of single-day throwdowns at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia
and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. Things kicked off at Dixie on Saturday
night with the annual running of the 'Dixie Shootout,' which paid $12,000
to the winner. Dale McDowell clicked off the eighth fastest lap in Group
A during qualifying prior to finishing second in heat race action. After
starting the 60-lapper from the inside of the fifth row, Dale blasted
to the front of the stellar field and grabbed the point from leader
Tim McCreadie on lap 43. The driver known as the "MacDaddy"
then led the remainder of the distance to claim another 'Dixie Shootout'
title and the $12,000 payday over McCreadie, Scott Bloomquist, Brandon
Overton, and Darrell Lanigan!
On Sunday evening at Rome, a $10,000 winner's check was
on the line in the 'Rome Showdown.' Dale timed in eleventh quickest
time in Group A during the qualifying session and later ran fifth in
his loaded heat race. Following a triumph in his B-Main, Dale rebounded
from drawing a lap 27 caution during the 50-lap headliner to finish
