July 19, 2010 --- McDowell Charges to Top Ten at Granite City & Wheatland!

Dale McDowell and his #17m Dirt Late Model team headed west to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on July 16-17 for two more Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns. On Friday night at Granite City, Dale went for a ride during qualifying, as he hit the wall and flipped his Warrior racecar. He emerged unscathed from the wreck, but was forced to take use of a series provisional to gain access into the $10,000 to win main event. During the course of the 'Budweiser 50,' Dale drove his back-up car past sixteen competitors en route to a stellar seventh place performance.

At Wheatland on Saturday evening, the Clint Bowyer Racing team competed in the 'CMH Diamond Nationals,' which also paid $10,000 to the winner. Dale ran fifth in his stacked heat race, but later finished third in his B-Main to earn the twenty-first starting spot in the 50-lap main event. The Chickamauga, Georgia native once again stormed towards the front in the A-Main, as he blasted past thirteen cars to secure an eighth place effort. Dale still finds himself sixth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the pair of SPEED Channel taped races this past weekend. July 11, 2010 --- Dale McDowell Notches Top Five in Clash at the Mag!

The Clint Bowyer Racing team and driver Dale McDowell trekked south to the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on July 9-10 for the 2nd Annual 'Clash at the Mag.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the $20,000 to win program, which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for broadcast on July 31. Dale flexed his muscle during qualifying on Friday night and later ran second in heat race action.

After rolling off from the outside of the fifth row in the 100-lapper on Saturday evening, Dale had his sights set on the front of the stout field. The Chickamauga, Georgia native wound up picking off six competitors en route to a stellar fourth place effort behind only winner Earl Pearson, Jr., Scott Bloomquist, and Ray Cook. July 5, 2010 --- McDowell Busy with Four Races in West Virginia and Ohio!

Dale McDowell and his #17m Dirt Late Model team invaded the states of West Virginia and Ohio over the 4th of July holiday weekend to compete in four $10,000 to win events. On Thursday night, Dale ran second in his heat race at the Beckley Motorsports Park in Mount Hope, West Virginia and later finished fifth in the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature event behind winner Ray Cook, Jimmy Owens, Josh Richards, and Scott Bloomquist. A day later, the Clint Bowyer Racing team found themselves at the Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio where Dale wound up nineteenth in the annual running of the 'Jim Dunn Memorial.'

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series then took the team to the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio on Saturday and the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Sunday for two more $10,000 to win showdowns. Dale was credited with a twelfth place finish at Zanesville, while he was paid for a tenth place effort at Portsmouth in the weekend finale. June 28, 2010 --- Dale McDowell Earns Pair of Top Fives at Lernerville!

The Clint Bowyer Racing team ventured to the storied Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania over the June 24-26 weekend for the annual running of the 'Firecracker 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned the highly anticipated weekend, which kicked off with a pair of $6,000 to win preliminary races on Thursday and Friday. After narrowly missing out on a transfer position into Thursday's 30-lap prelim, Dale McDowell wound up fifth in the final rundown on Friday behind only winner Tim McCreadie, Josh Richards, Brady Smith, and Billy Moyer.

A huge crowd and the cameras of the SPEED Channel then descended upon Lernerville on Saturday for the $30,000 to win 'Firecracker 100.' Dale ran second in heat race action to earn the eighth starting spot in the 100-lap main event. June 21, 2010 --- McDowell Competes in Lucas Oil Series Tripleheader!

Dale McDowell and the Clint Bowyer Racing team were back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail over the June 17-19 weekend, as the ultra-competitive series sanctioned a trio of $10,000 to win events in the Volunteer State of Tennessee! On Thursday night at the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee, Dale ran second in heat race action, which placed him starting fifth in the 50-lap feature event. The Chickamauga, Georgia native raced hard inside of the top ten all race long and eventually guided his #17m Warrior racecar to a ninth place finish.

The ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee then hosted the cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for two separate $10,000 to win showdowns on Friday and Saturday. In night one of the 'Scorcher' on Friday, Dale finished second in his heat race prior to notching a solid seventh place performance in the 50-lapper. On Saturday in the 'Scorcher' finale, Dale won his heat race and led the first thirty-one circuits of the A-Main until a bolt in the lift bar broke, causing him to retire in the twenty-first position.
