Grabs Top Five in $10k Gobbler at Boyd's Speedway
20, 2016) Dale McDowell and the #17m team traveled to Boyd's
Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on November 18-19 for the 28th Annual
'Gobbler,' which was sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series.
Dale laid down the seventh quickest time in Group B during qualifying
on Friday night and later ran second in his loaded heat race. After
starting Saturday's $10,000 to win feature event from the outside of
the third row, Dale quickly moved up to the fourth position in the 60-lapper
and wound up finishing right there behind only victor Brandon Overton,

Blitzes to Runner-Up in National 100 Weekend Opener!
7, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) rolled into the historic
East Alabama Motor Speedway on November 4-6 for the 42nd edition of
the 'National 100.' For the first time, three complete shows were held
at the Phenix City, Alabama venue and things kicked off with a pair
of $5,000 to win preliminary programs. On Friday night, Dale McDowell
timed in ninth quickest in Group B during qualifying, ran third in his
B-Main, and later blitzed past sixteen competitors during the 42-lap
feature en route to a stellar runner-up performance behind only victor
Tim McCreadie. At EAMS on Saturday evening, Dale knocked down the fourth
fastest lap in Group A during time trials to automatically lock himself
into the 42-lapper where he eventually claimed a ninth place effort.
After accumulating the second most points during preliminary
action, Dale started Sunday's 100-lap headliner from the outside of
the front row. The Chickamauga, Georgia star had his sights set firmly
on the whopping $20,000 payday, but slipped several spots during the

Earns Top Tens in Both World Finals Shows at Charlotte!
30, 2016) Next up on the racing schedule for the Team Dillon
Racing (TDR) team was the annual 'World of Outlaws World Finals' at
the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina on October
27-29. The three-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series weekend
started on Thursday evening with two rounds of qualifying, which determined
the heat race lineups for the final two series races of the 2016 season.
Dale McDowell timed in second quickest in Group B for both Friday and
Saturday night's shootouts, which placed him on the pole position in
his heat race on each occasion.
When the stakes were raised on Friday, Dale won his heat
race in preliminary action and later drew the sixth starting spot in
the $12,000 to win main event. The Chickamauga, Georgia standout hung
around towards the front of the stellar field in the 50-lapper before

16, 2016) The #17m TDR team ventured to Portsmouth Raceway
Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 14-15 for the 36th Annual 'Dirt
Track World Championship,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series and attracted 80 competitors to vie for the whopping
$100,000 winner's share. The unique format for the crown jewel spectacular
started with two sets of heat races on Friday evening. Dale McDowell
impressively won both of his heat races in preliminary action and later
started from the pole position in Saturday's 100-lap DTWC. The Chickamauga,
Georgia star then hung around the front of the talented field early
in the distance before steering woes caused him to ultimately retire

3, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) made the trip to the Peach
State with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on October 1-2 for a
pair of single-day throwdowns at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia
and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. Things kicked off at Dixie on Saturday
night with the annual running of the 'Dixie Shootout,' which paid $12,000
to the winner. Dale McDowell clicked off the eighth fastest lap in Group
A during qualifying prior to finishing second in heat race action. After
starting the 60-lapper from the inside of the fifth row, Dale blasted
to the front of the stellar field and grabbed the point from leader

18, 2016) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) tackled another crown jewel
event over the September 15-17 weekend in the Hawkeye State, as the
historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa played host to the 13th
Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the three-day spectacular at
the Marion County Fairgrounds oval, which started with a pair of $7,000
to win preliminary showdowns. At Knoxville on Thursday night, Dale McDowell
was running strong in his heat race until radiator problems relegated
him to a tenth place finish and forced him to scratch from the remainder
of the program. On Friday evening, Dale clicked off the fastest time
in Group B during qualifying, finished third in his heat race, and later
advanced up to fourth in the 25-lapper to finish behind only winner
Josh Richards, Jimmy Owens, and Shannon Babb!

11, 2016) The #17m team and driver Dale McDowell, along with
107 other competitors, made their way to the famed high-banks of Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 8-10 for the 46th edition of
the 'World 100.' The three-day spectacular at the 1/2-mile, Darke County
oval kicked off with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs.
On Thursday night, Dale placed fourth in his heat race prior to moving
up to fourteenth at the completion of the 25-lap sprint. At the track
known as the "Big E" on Friday evening, Dale ran second in
his heat race and later slipped back to fifth in the 25-lapper to trail
only victor Bobby Pierce, Devin Moran, Jimmy Mars, and Don O'Neal at
At Eldora Speedway on Saturday, the weekend concluded
with the "Biggest Dirt Race in the World" and everyone in
attendance had their sights set on the $49,000 top prize, along with
the storied globe trophy. Dale won his loaded heat race, which earned

Competes in Keyser's Great Lakes Shootout at Merritt
29, 2016) Dale McDowell and Team Dillon Racing (TDR) were back
on the track at Merritt Speedway in Lake City, Michigan from August
26-28. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned a
pair of events in the Wolverine State that made up the 'Keyser's Great
Lakes Shootout.' In the $6,000 to win weekend opener on Friday night,
Dale posted the fastest lap overall during the qualifying session prior
to running third in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside
of the fifth row in the 25-lap sprint, Dale drove past a trio of competitors
en route to a solid sixth place showing.
Following a rain-out on Saturday evening, the weekend
wrapped up on Sunday with a $10,000 to win finale. Dale placed sixth
in his heat race and eleventh in his B-Main, but was awarded a series
provisional and started the 50-lapper from the inside of the twelfth
row. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace then worked his way past five racecars
during the A-Main and left Merritt with an eighteenth place effort.

19, 2016) The #17m team rolled into the ultra-fast Volunteer
Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Thursday evening, August 18 for
the annual running of the 'Scorcher,' which was sanctioned by the Ultimate
Super Late Model Series. Dale McDowell knocked down the second quickest
time in his group during the qualifying session prior to scoring the
victory in heat race action. After starting the $12,000 to win main
event from the inside of the second row, Dale was unfortunately involved
in an early scramble, which resulted in his Sweet-Bloomquist car suffering
right front suspension issues. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace retired
early from the 50-lap affair and wound up twentieth in the final finishing

Lands on Podium in $50,000 North/South 100 at Florence
14, 2016) Dale McDowell and the #17m TDR team traveled to the
venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 11-13 for both
the rain-postponed 'Ralph Latham Memorial' and the 34th Annual 'North/South
100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the huge three-day
weekend in the Cincinnati-area, as a whopping $80,000 in first place
prize money was up for grabs. On Thursday night, Dale finished fifth
in his heat race (after being taken out by Timothy Culp) and fourth
in his B-Main. Unfortunately, the Chickamauga, Georgia star narrowly
missed out on transferring into the $30,000 to win headliner, which
was ultimately won by Scott Bloomquist.
At Florence on Friday evening, a double set of heat races
kicked off the 'North/South 100' portion of the weekend. Dale placed
fourth in his first heat race and second in his final prelim of the
night. By virtue of racking up the eighth most passing points, Dale
earned the outside of the fourth row for Saturday's $50,000 to win crown
