Solid During Knoxville Nationals Weekend in Hawkeye State

Dale McDowell ventured west to the hallowed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville,
Iowa from September 25-27 for the 11th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model
Knoxville Nationals.' The three-day crown jewel spectacular started
with a pair of $7,000 to win preliminary programs at the 1/2-mile Marion
County fairgrounds speedplant. On Thursday night, Dale laid down the
quickest lap of the 79 entrants during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
qualifying prior to running third in his heat race and eleventh in the
25-lap main event. At Knoxville on Friday evening, Dale once again finished
third in his loaded heat race before winding up seventh in the 25-lapper.
By virtue of his high point total from Friday, Dale earned
the fifth starting spot for Saturday's 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville
Nationals' headliner, which once again boasted a hefty $40,000 payday.
The Chickamauga, Georgia star then ran as high as third early in the
100-lap distance before ultimately getting caught up in lap 49 tangle
with Brady Smith. Dale retired from the Knoxville biggie following the
incident and was relegated to a disappointing twenty-fifth place performance.

Charges to Top Five in 35th Annual Jackson 100
21, 2014) Dale McDowell and the #17m TDR team returned to racing
action on September 19-20 in the 35th Annual 'Jackson 100' at the legendary
Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. Things kicked off at the
1/4-mile oval with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying on Friday
night and Dale knocked down the ninth fastest lap in Group A during
the time trial session. When Saturday evening rolled around, Dale ran
fifth in his heat race prior to winning his B-Main to advance into the
$20,000 to win headliner. After starting the 100-lapper from the inside
of the ninth row, the Chickamauga, Georgia star vaulted up to as high
as fourth in the running order before settling for a fifth place effort
behind only winner Scott Bloomquist, Don O'Neal, Chris Simpson, and

World 100 Weekend Nightly Results...
6, 2014) The 44th edition of the 'World 100' wrapped up tonight
at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio and all eyes were fixated on the
prestigious globe trophy, as well as the hefty $47,000 winner's check.
Dale McDowell scored the win in his loaded heat race, which placed him
starting from the outside of the front row in the 100-lap grind. Dale
then led the 'World 100' from laps 1-18 and 20-71 before settling for
a strong runner-up effort behind only victor Scott Bloomquist!

prize was on the line for the #17m TDR team tonight at Eldora (OH) Speedway.
Dale McDowell clicked off the twenty-first quickest lap during the qualifying
session prior to finishing second in heat race action behind only prelim

overall during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying, Dale scored
the win in his heat race over Chris Madden, Brad Neat, and Billy Ogle,
Jr. After rolling off from the outside of the front row in the 50-lap
'Scorcher,' Dale assumed the point on lap three and dominated the remainder
of the event to bag the $10,000 payday over Mike Marlar, John Blankenship,

17, 2014) Team Dillon Racing (TDR) ventured to Batesville Motor
Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 15-16 for the 22nd edition
of the 'Topless 100.' On Friday night, Dale McDowell timed in ninth
fastest in Group A during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying
and later ran second in his stacked heat race behind only prelim victor
Jonathan Davenport. After starting from the inside of the sixth row
in Saturday's $40,000 to win crown jewel main event, Dale put on a clinic
in driving past nine competitors en route to an impressive runner-up

10, 2014) Dale McDowell and the #17m TDR team returned to racing
action on August 8-9 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky,
as the 32nd Annual 'North/South 100' paid a whopping $50,000 to the
winner. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series biggie featured a passing
points format for the first time with double heat races instead of the
normal qualifying procedure. Dale finished third in his first heat race
on Friday night, while he placed fifth in his second and final prelim
of the evening. After running sixth in his dash on Saturday, Dale was
unfortunately an early retiree in the 'North/South 100' and was relegated

concluded the World of Outlaws Late Model Series-sanctioned 8th Annual
‘Firecracker 100’ tonight at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver,
Pennsylvania. Following a hard crash in last night's heat race, the
Chickamauga, Georgia driver unloaded his back-up Warrior mount and finished
second in his loaded heat race tonight behind only prelim victor Darrell
Lanigan. After drawing the eleventh starting spot prior to the drop
of the green flag in the $30,000 to win mega-event, Dale blasted past
seven competitors during the 100-lapper, which was cut short by ten
circuits due to rain showers. "MacDaddy" was credited with
a hard-fought fourth place performance at Lernerville tonight behind
only 'Firecracker 100' winner Darrell Lanigan, Scott Bloomquist, and

in night two of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series-sanctioned ‘Firecracker
100’ at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Dale would
start the night by qualifying in the eleventh position in Group B, but
unfortunately endured a hard wreck in his heat race that not only dropped
him to an eighth place prelim finish, but also caused him to scratch
for the rest of the evening. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace did not compete
in the $6,000 to win feature, which was ultimately won by Jimmy Owens.
(June 26, 2014) Dale McDowell, of Chickamauga,
Georgia, was back in action tonight at the storied Lernerville Speedway
in Sarver, Pennsylvania in round one of the 8th Annual 'Firecracker
100' weekend. Dale timed in fourteenth fastest in the second qualifying
group for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series-sanctioned extravaganza.
Dale then finished fourth in his heat race prior to picking up an impressive
victory in his B-Main. After starting the $6,000 to win feature from
the inside of the eleventh row, Dale proceeded to pick off eight competitors
during the 30-lapper to claim a respectable thirteenth place effort.
Competes in LOLMDS Double-Dip at Cherokee & Smoky Mountain
22, 2014) Dale McDowell and Team Dillon Racing (TDR) returned
to dirt-slinging action on June 20-21 in a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney,
South Carolina and Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee.
On Friday night in the annual 'Grassy Smith Memorial' at Cherokee, Dale
grabbed the sixth and final transfer spot through his heat race and
later wound up fifteenth in the 50-lap feature event. At Smoky Mountain
on Saturday evening, Dale was involved in a heat race wreck, but later
received a Fast Time provisional to gain access into the 50-lap headliner.
The Chickamauga, Georgia star was eventually placed twentieth in the

win of his illustrious career tonight at the famed Eldora Speedway in
Rossburg, Ohio, as he emerged victorious in the 20th edition of the
'Dirt Late Model Dream!' After placing fourth in his heat race, Dale
claimed the win in his B-Main to earn the outside eleventh row starting
spot in the 100-lap crown jewel main event. The Chickamauga, Georgia
star then blasted to the front of the stellar field, eventually grabbing
the top spot from Scott Bloomquist on the 79th circuit. Dale went on

Sweeps Spring Nationals Weekend to Pocket $10,000!!!
25, 2014) Dale McDowell and Team Dillon Racing (TDR) swept
the final two Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series events on May
23-24 to pocket a total of $10,000! On Friday night at Boyd's Speedway
in Ringgold, Georgia, Dale laid down the quickest lap overall during
qualifying to earn the outside front row starting spot for the 40-lap
feature event. The Chickamauga, Georgia star then led from flag-to-flag
at the Chattanooga area facility to claim the $4,000 payday ahead of
Billy Ogle, Jr., Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Donald McIntosh, and Jamie Perry!
The action quickly shifted to the historic Dixie Speedway
in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday evening for the Spring Nationals finale.
It was a similar story as far as the #17m team was concerned, as Dale
set Fast Time during the qualifying session prior to rolling off from

8, 2014) After nearly a month away from the racetrack, Dale
McDowell quickly returned back to form tonight, as he notched his second
feature win of the 2014 racing season at Duck River Raceway Park in
Wheel, Tennessee! The Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals tour rolled
into Duck River tonight and 32 competitors signed into the pit area.
Dale timed in sixth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session,
but later won his consolation race to advance into the night's 40-lapper.
After starting the A-Main from the outside of the sixth row, Dale vaulted
to the front of the strong field and eventually grabbed the top spot
away from Billy Ogle, Jr. on lap 39. The Chickamauga, Georgia ace led
the final two circuits to claim the $4,000 payday over Ogle, Jr., Jared
